CapWiz is the Association's grassroots advocacy tool that gives you the opportunity to quickly and effectively communicate with policy makers about key issues.
New employees notice very quickly that the credit union space is unique and special. Our Credit Union Philosophy Certification Manual & Quiz captures the rich history of the credit union movement, as well as the social and economic missions we fulfill. After reading the manual, take the quiz and then download a certificate. This engaging resource is highly recommended for all new employees as well as for staff wanting a refresher course on the roots of the “People Helping People” philosophy.
NWCUA’s 20 individual chapters each represent credit unions located within designated geographical boundaries. The Association’s chapter program promotes unity among credit unions in a local area through communication, networking, training and participation in community, state and national projects that support the cooperative spirit of the credit union movement.
NWCUA works closely with the six Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to help raise funds for Credit Unions for Kids. There is a strong history in the Pacific Northwest to help the kids and fulfill the credit union philosophy of People Helping People.
We sponsor many events throughout the year, and also promote events from system allies that may be of interest to credit unions in Washington & Oregon. Anthem is the Northwest Credit Union Association’s newsletter. We keep up with Advocacy, Compliance issues, Regulation and other industry news that isimportant to busy credit union staff. The Northwest Credit Union Association’s networking councils provide value-added forums for peer groups to meet, share experiences, and learn from each other.
