Voting ends April 30. The winner will be honored at the Credit Union National Association’s (CUNA's) America's Credit Union Conference in San Diego, June 17-20.

Joe’s credit union success spans 35 years and is entirely based at Our Community Credit Union in Shelton, Wash. He has served on both the Washington Credit Union League and CUNA board of directors and is respected throughout the credit union movement—especially in the Pacific Northwest—for his leadership and advocacy efforts.

The three other candidates for 2012 Credit Union Hero are: Rudy Hanley, president/CEO, SchoolsFirst FCU, Santa Ana, Calif.; Ron Kase, CEO, Landmark CU, New Berlin, Wis.; and Frank Matous Sr. (posthumous), former CEO of Tandem FCU, Warren, Mich.
