Volunteers are needed to make our 2013 Financial Reality Fairs successful for high school students. Presented by the Northwest Credit Union Foundation, the Financial Reality Fairs will be held during our Credit Union Day at the Capitol events in Olympia and Salem. Legislators will be able to see credit union financial education outreach in action!

These are live budgeting exercises in which the students are assigned salaried jobs, and must budget within their means. The students visit vendors to purchase housing, transportation, necessities and luxuries. Our credit union volunteers will act as vendors and financial counselors. No advance training is required, and the volunteer service promises to be fun and fulfilling. The hours are expected to be 7:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

The Olympia Financial Reality Fair will be held February 7 in the GA Auditorium,  across from the State Capitol.
